Building & Construction - Metro

The importance of the Building and construction sector within the recruitment market is highlighted by the fact that it accounts for nearly 1.5 million jobs in the UK. Greater London is projected to see annual average growth of 2.4% in total construction output between 2017 and 2021, above the UK average of 1.7%. Over the short and long-term the infrastructure sector is likely to see the highest average yearly increases. There are a number of large schemes that will be taking place over the forecast period such as the £1bn Northern Line Extension scheme, the Thames Tideway Tunnel and High Speed 2 (HS2), keeping output growth buoyant. London's continued growth means that the capital acts as a magnet for those who currently work in, or wish to work in the building & construction industry, providing employers with a huge pool of talent to recruit from. So it's no surprise that there are 2.7 million adults who who have completed a trade apprenticeship or other qualification at level 3 (BTEC, NVQ etc) across London and the south east. Every day of the working week the Evening Standard and Metro reach over 2.2 million Londoners, no other national newspaper can provide greater coverage.
