The Training and Development Agency for Schools estimate that 8,000 - 10,000 former teachers return to teaching each year. This figure includes adults who have been raising a family, taken early retirement, or gained experience in a different job.
With over 3000 educational institutions across the capital, there is constant demand for qualified education professionals across a range of disciplines. It will therefore come as no surprise that London has more adults working in education and related occupations than any other region in the country.
