Charities rely heavily upon support and a willingness to give. Londoners' propensity to offer support and donate their time is highlighted by the fact that there are more adults living in the capital who have donated to charity in the last 12 months than any other region in the UK.
As well as financial support, adults living in London are also more likely to volunteer their time for a good cause or belong to a charity than any other region in the UK.
On 27th September 2010, Metro (London) and the Evening Standard will be publishing an editorially supported Charity Special. This feature will provide the platform for registered charities to increase awareness of their cause as well as recruit fundraisers and volunteers.
